A new two-minute featurette for Solo: A Star Wars Story shows more of the world of Star Wars when it was still under the control of the Empire than fans have seen before.
Featuring quotes from director Ron Howard — who replaced Chris Miller and Phil Lord — Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Alden Ehrenreich and screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, the clip shows scenes from numerous locales throughout the galaxy.
Howard says viewers will get to see Solo’s first moments with Chewbacca, the Millenium Falcon, and Lando Calrissian.
Selected scenes include Solo chased through a crowded city with Clarke’s Qi’Ra, a battlefield scene reminiscent of the opening scenes of “The Force Awakens,” and Solo dropping from an aircraft onto a moving train accompanied by Chewie.
The second new generation prequel film, after “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 10 days before its official release date.
Ehrenreich stars as a young Han Solo and Glover plays fellow smuggler Lando Calrissian. Clarke and Woody Harrelson also topline the space opera.
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters May 25.
