THEY SAY

A father and his son walk alone through burned America. Nothing moves in the ravaged landscape save the ash on the wind. It is cold enough to crack stones, and when the snow falls it is gray. The sky is dark. Their destination is the coast, although they don't know what, if anything, awaits them there. They have nothing: just a pistol to defend themselves against the lawless bands that stalk the road, the clothes they are wearing, a cart of scavenged food
and each other. Based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy, Pulitzer prize winning author of No Country for Old Men.

WE SAY

Inspired casting: Viggo Mortensen has proved himself in flicks such as History of Violence and Eastern Promises since the Lord of the Rings movies made him a star (of sorts). Charlize Theron won't have much to do as her character only appears in one or two flashback scenes at most. Much would however depend on whomever child actor they have yet to cast in the pivotal role of Mortensen's onscreen son.
