Set in an indefinite, futuristic, post-apocalyptic
world, The Road tells the story of a father and his young son who
must make their way through the ruins of a devastated American landscape,
struggling to survive and preserve the last remnants of their own
humanity. Based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy, Pulitzer prize
winning author of No Country for Old Men.

Inspired casting: Viggo Mortensen has proved himself
in flicks such as History of Violence and Eastern Promises
since the Lord of the Rings
movies made him a star (of sorts). Charlize Theron won't have much to do
as her character only appears in one or two flashback scenes at most.
