When a 17-year-old boy appears on television after winning a football
game, he gets some unwanted attention and pretty soon finds himself on the
run along with a telepathic dog (no, not the one from
A Boy and His Dog) and a female
shape-shifter.
Turns out that the boy has been sent from one thousand years in the
future to stop the so-called “Dark Army” (probably BP) from ecologically
wrecking the Earth.
Based on a 2006 teen novel by David Klass. (The book is the first in a
series called the Caretaker Trilogy.)
