Van Damme makes it big time in probably the most expensive movie he has starred in to date.

Adequately directed by Peter (Outland, Capricorn One) Hyams, Van Damme as the time cop of the title has to cope with time travel complications (al a Back to The Future Part II) and a corrupt senator and lackeys.

Some impressive Terminator-type special effects, various plot holes, kung-fu derring-do and action as well as some wooden acting by the muscles from Brussels make for Saturday matinee entertainment, but little else.
