Sequel to 1986's Short Circuit (duh!).

The robot Number Five is still alive and moves to New York where he is manipulated by criminals who want to use him for their own nefarious purposes. Unfortunately this movie isn't as alive and lacks its predecessor's spark and freshness.

Kids will enjoy Number Five's antics though.
