With the relaunch of the SCi-Fi Movie Page, we thought it was time that we bring a new feature to our community, Cosplay. As a photographer who has covered everything from the San Diego Comic Con to Star Wars Celebration Europe, I have seen my fair share of creative and ingenious costumes. I always look for what’s unique, creative and ballsy. I like to see what fellow geeks and genre fans can craft with a little more than a few dollars and a trip to the fabric store. Store bought costumes are great for the kiddies and a Halloween party you get invited to the day of, but in the world of Convention Cosplay, well, they are a cheat. I ventured to Philadelphia’s RetroCon to seek out as many Cosplayers as possible. What I discovered were two sets of family Cosplayers, a Cobra Girl Scout, and much more!
