We finally have a confirmation on whether or not Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy will reprise their voices for Warner Brother’s animated adaptation of Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s “The Killing Joke”. Comic Book Resources broke the official news today!
From Comic Book Resources: “Following rumors regarding the voice cast of Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming adaptation of “The Killing Joke,” CBR News can exclusively confirm that Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will reprise their roles as Batman and the Joker for the film.
In addition to Conroy and Hamill, who first teamed together as Batman and the Joker in the seminal “Batman: The Animated Series,” Tara Strong will voice Barbara Gordon/Batgirl and Ray Wise will voice Commissioner Gordon in ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ (see full article here)”.
This will be a reunion for the two actors who set a precedent on how the Joker and Batman should sound on Batman: The Animated Series. Sadly, there is still no release date for the film, other than “the summer”. More importantly, there was no mention of a rating for this release. This is still incredible news and we are just thrilled here at the Sci-Fi Movie Page that Warner Brothers is doing this story right.
