STARRING: Roger
Moore, Lois Chiles, Michael Lonsdale, Richard Kiel, Corinne Clery, Bernard Lee, Geoffrey
Keen, Desmond Llewelyn, Lois Maxwell
1979, 126 Minutes, Directed
by: Lewis Gilbert
Description: This
was the first James Bond adventure produced after the success of Star Wars. This
time Bond (once again played by Roger Moore)
is up against a criminal industrialist named Drax (Michel Lonsdale) who wants to
control the world from his orbiting space station. In keeping with his
well-groomed style, Bond thwarts this maniacal Neo-Hitler's scheme with the help
of a beautiful, sleek-figured scientist (played by Lois Chiles). —

James Bond goes to space (so soon after the success of Star Wars?
Mmm . . .) in pursuit of a galactic madman/bad guy.
Typical Bond stuff and if you think
that Roger Moore was the best Bond of them all then you will like this movie - at least he
wasn't the boring politically correct Bond played by Pierce Brosnan we saw in Goldeneye
. . .
