GHOST IN THE MACHINE

STARRING: Karen Allen, Chris Mulkey, Ted Marcoux, Wil Horneff, Jessica Walter, Brandon Quintin Adams, Phil Ducommun, Nancy Fish, Jack Lafer, Shevonne Durkin

1993, 95 Minutes, Directed by: Rachel Talalay

Silly horror movie in which Karen (Raiders of the Lost Ark,
Starman) Allen and her family are pursued by a serial killer that got down-loaded into Cyberspace before he died.

Yeah, I know.

This Ghost in the Machine manipulates household appliances and the voltage surges in plugs via the Internet. He also manages to wipe her bank account, etc. A movie for technophobes - a bit like The Net later on, but way too ridiculous to take seriously.

Some hilarity in particularly one scene in which a murdered family is shown sitting in front of their blaring television set (the serial killer has got it in for nuclear families). Unintentional commentary on the TV-inspired boredom of the modern suburbanite? Not!

(There're some nifty low-budget special effects.)
