The Simpsons - Bart Wars If you can't wait for your regular Simpsons fix on DVD
(the full season boxes are being released at a glacial pace, namely one per
year, because Fox wants to do audio commentaries for every single Simpsons
episode ever made! Why don't they skip some commentaries - who listens to them
in any case? - and fast-track the whole process instead? We'll all be joining
Grandpa Simpson in the Old Age home by the time they are finally released!) then
this ought to provide a quick fix for you. |

Cube Zero
Second Cube sequel. The previous
one was Cube 2 - Hypercube which was unexpectedly
good — but isn't this idea being exhausted now?
(This time one of the bureaucrats running the Cube decides to help a woman
trapped in the maze.) |
Xena Warrior Princess - Season Six
Popular TV show that ran for ages.
The Incredibles
Hugely entertaining outing by the
Pixar guys — can they do any wrong? (Uhm, have you seen the Cars
trailer by the way?)

Star Trek - First Contact (Special Collector's Edition)
A re-issue part of the drive to give
all the big screen Star Trek movies
the "special edition" treatment that make fans drool. This is
incidentally one of the best Trek movies . . .

Batman and Robin: Serial Collection
Not the campy 'Sixties TV show
starring Adam West, but rather the 1940s B&W serials. Personally, I
didn't even know they existed, but there you go . . .
Final Cut
Understated SF thriller starring Robin
Williams (who is "into" understatement nowadays, making up for
decades of comic mania) with an intriguing idea which turned out to
be . . . to understated. That is, if the critics are to be believed.

Star Wars - Clone Wars, Vol. 1 (Animated)
In time for Revenge of
the Sith, the animated TV series based on the two so-called Star
Wars "prequels", especially Attack of the Clones.
The Twilight Zone - Season 2 (The Definitive Collection)
Classic stuff now being collected as complete box sets for the
first time. (If only this site made more danged money I'd buy it!)
Astro Boy - The Complete Series
Historical 1960s anime TV show.
The Lone Gunmen - The Complete Series
X-Files spin-off TV show that was cancelled pretty quickly.
Ever notice how anyone ever involved with this TV
show now seems to be . . . unemployed?

Elektra
This one came out pretty quick on DVD —
now didn't it?

Primer
Cheaply produced indie sci-fi thriller that won all kinds of
festival prices but met with mixed reviews because of an (allegedly)
incomprehensible plot and poor production values. Still seems like a
step in the right direction though . . .
