A direct-to-DVD sequel to the 2001 cult favourite Donnie Darko – also one of our personal faves - with only one actress (Daveigh Chase) from the first film repeating her role and without the involvement of Richard Kelly, the original’s director? You’ll have to excuse us if we’re a bit sceptical (an understatement) about this one: some movies don’t need no stinking sequel!

(Incidentally, Daveigh Chase who appeared as Donnie’s little sister in the original film also supplied the voice of Lilo in the various Lilo & Stitch movies and the TV show. Thought you’d want to know . . .)
