The original Sabrina character in the Archie comic book series, was nowhere near as scary or evil-infested as this thing! A recurring plotline in the series, was that although Sabrina could cast misc. spells, half the time, they never turned out right, like once she cast a spell on handsome, but very shy boy at a party, to make him very bold, only to see him rush away to kiss another girl that he liked instead. Also, she would have unusual quirks, like once, she was at the beach, and boys pushed her into the ocean, but witches FLOAT, and she had to some up with a joking explanation why she doesn’t sink in water!
Anyway, there was a special edition comic book ‘Archie Vs. Zombies’, where Jughead goes to Sabrina carrying his pet dog, who was just killed in an accident, begging her to heal his dog. So, she uses a spell from an old magic book, without reading it thoroughly, (NEVER a good idea!), and revives Jughead’s dog. Trouble is, it was a doomsday spell meant to create a zombie plaque, etc. with the dog biting Jughead, who zombifies and goes to a Halloween party, where all the costumed teens don’t realize his contagious condition! But, that storyline would make an AMAZING Riverdale/Sabrina shows crossover TV special!
Also, the ‘Riverdale’ series had a long story line where the fearless teens did battle with a crazy glblin king cult, that had its members running around doing evil things in devil masks, which could also tie into a possible crossover story line, where Sabrina and Archie and his gang meet and join forces, when they both find themselves threatened by that cult.
