Producers acquire rights to sci-fi / fantasy books by Marion Zimmer Bradley . . .

Producers Ilene Kahn Power and Elizabeth Stanley have bought the rights to the Darkover books by Marion Zimmer Bradley (Bradley died in 1999).

The books are about Earth colonists being stranded on a hostile alien planet without any contact with their home planet. Over a thousand year period they devolve to feudalism.

Don’t hold your breath though: the pair of producers is currently pitching the idea to various cable networks and no-one might fall for the idea.
