You know, I’m feeling pretty good about the science fiction films coming out this fall and winter 2012 and the upcoming ones for 2013. Have been hungry for good stories and it looks like a lot of original material (along with some greet sequels) are on their way. Looking forward to “Cloud Atlas” and “Looper”. In 2013, Elysium, Oblivion, After Earth, Ender’s Game and Pacific Rim all have my attention. This is so great!!!!

Remakes, prequels, and sequels. WTF. Where is the originality? Half of these arent even scifi, again with zombies and remakes of remakes. The only good one is prometheus and thats even a prequel of an already played out concept.

I suppose vampires and zombies have their place in the hearts of some movie fans. Just seems like film makers need to take a break away from that subject matter. Or balance it out with more creative and interesting sci-fi. End of the world scenarios are getting to be a joke as well. And I guess I should throw in the war-like movies (Battleship, World War Z). I’m not saying don’t make these films, because they do have an audience. It would be so much more interesting to have a space exploration film, coming to a completely new universe and exploring new ideas. A creative director with a good script could go wild on an idea like that. Interested in “Iron Sky” only because it seems too funny (Nazis in Space…..reminds me of the Muppets’ “Pigs in Space”).

Will Hollywood again make a mess of the iconic Judge Dredd character like they did in the 1995 flop starring Sylvester Stallone?…… Sadly, yes but it gets worse a lot worse. However it may be a fan film that finally does Dread credit check out Judge Minty on Youtube… And like the site.

a REMAKE of ”TOTAL RECALL” ??? WHY?? that was actually one of the movies arnold was good at , i like the “IRON SKY” concept , LOOPER sounds intresting and ”JUDGE DREAD” will probably be horrible – GIJOE is horrible , i cant see how even bruce willis can fix that

Hey if one of the W siblings did have a sex change then we can comment all we want on how we see it,a rose is a rose and nothing more.Or is it?
Perhaps if they plop down a great movie like they have done in the past
we will still feel all warm and fuzzy,minus a sex change operation to boot hopefully.

did not know a wachowski brother ha a sex change opertation. sounds like they are trying to make their lives a scifi movie, stay away maybe???
