Studio announces release date for upcoming Wolverine movie . . .

20th Century Fox has announced a release date for the upcoming Wolverine movie, simply titled The Wolverine. supplies the following plot synopsis:

Logan starts a forbidden romance with a Japanese woman whose hand in marriage is, unfortunately, promised to another man. Since Logan won’t take no for an answer, it puts him into conflict with her father and her samurai-sword-wielding brothers.

The release date will be July 26th, 2013.

Not that it matters since we’re all going to die screaming in the impending Mayan Apocalypse, but the same day also sees the release of the planned Dirty Dancing remake (dear God, why???) and a full-length Phineas and Ferb movie.

To be honest we’re more psyched about the Phineas and Ferb movie as the previous Wolverine movie was a letdown and we’re kinda getting tired of all the underwhelming men-in-Lycra flicks as of late.

The Wolverine will again star Hugh Jackman and will be directed by James Mangold of Knight and Day and 3:10 to Yuma fame.

Incidentally South African director Gavin Hood, who directed the previous Wolverine movie, is currently working on the highly-anticipated Ender’s Game movie, which recently added Harrison Ford to its cast.

I really want to see this movie…
too bad the world is going to suffer some kind of global cataclysm/earthquake in the end of 2012-2013 as predicted by the Mayan calender.
