Gateway by Fred Pohl is the best SF novel ever in my opinion, and I can’t believe nobody has made an awesome movie out of it. Likewise, Chronicles of Amber by Zelazny. I can envision an opening sequence that would blow viewers away. And what about Longyear’s Circus World novels and stories? There wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house. Unfortunately, we’ll get Star Captain Crunch vs The Space Leprechauns long before we see an awesome SF or non-YA fantasy made into a movie.

I really-really wish they’d do something more original then those endless comic-book movies like Green Lantern.
Some people actually read books and do not spend entire childhood with comics – there are so many precious gems just waiting to be made into a movie but NOOO, it’s the same shit all over again. Perhaps I’m just too old… Movies rarely surprise me nowadays and Hollywood stuff is just annoying.Sorry ’bout the rant. Just cant find anything to watch anymore…
