In the original British comics Mega City One lawman Judge Dredd never removed his helmets and we never got to see what he actually looks like.

So it irked purist fans that we got to see Sylvester Stallone’s mug in the 1995 Judge Dredd movie.

True to the film-makers’ word thus far it would seem that actor Karl Urban won’t be taking off his helmet in this year’s Dredd movie either – a fact that will please fans but probably baffle newbies.

 

 

Release date is September 21st, 2012.

The movie stars Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, Jason Cope, Warrick Grier, Joe Vaz, Langley Kirkwood, Deobia Oparei and Francis Chouler. It is directed by Pete Travis.
