Darkest Hour is yet another alien invasion tale featuring a group of American young people, but what makes it intriguing is:

a.) It is set in Moscow instead of somewhere in America
b.) The aliens are energy beings instead of bastard children of H.R. Giger

Anyway, the movie stars Emile Hirsch, Olivia Thirlby, Max Minghella, Rachael Taylor and Joel Kinnaman. It is directed by Chris Gorak and written by Les Bohem and Jon Spaihts.

U.S. release Date is December 25, 2011.
