Michael Bay Denies Transformers 4 and 5 Involvement
Director says he didn’t do it . . .
Director Michael Bay denied recent Internet reports that he is in talks with Hasbro and Paramount Pictures to direct Transformers 4 and 5 on his personal forum.
Here’s what he had to say:
“I am currently not talking to Paramount on T4 and T5 despite reports. I’m looking at a lot of possibilities coming my way right now weighing options. Most likely going to be doing the low budget Pain and Gain, a true story crime thriller. It’s a very quick shoot and quite funny. Also just finishing the 3 disc set of the Transformers trilogy.”
So there you have it.
But make no mistake: considering the gazillions of dollars the third Transformers movie made recently it is a given that more Transformers movies will get made – with or without Bay’s or Spielberg’s involvement. Same goes for the Pirates movies of which a fifth installment is already on its way. As long as audiences keep on buying tickets Hollywood will keep on churning them out . . .
