Below is the trailer for Marvel Avengers Assemble. Yup, that’s the rather awkward moniker the marketing team choose for the movie to be called at the 11th hour in the UK now (release date: 26 April).

The flick is still known as The Avengers or Marvel’s The Avengers in the States.

Below is also the poster for the newly renamed movie.

Movies usually have a different name in territories other than the States if the distributors don’t have any faith in its box office potential and brand name recognition. The UK name change appears to be motivated by familiarity to the old ‘Sixties British TV show and the subsequent movie version starring Uma Thurman and Ralph Fiennes. Read our take on it here.
