Warner Bros already looking for scriptwriters for a sequel to its 2013 Superman movie!

Warner Bros’s Superman: Man of Steel reboot directed by Zack Snyder (300, Sucker Punch) and starring Henry Cavill will only wrap filming early in 2012 and has a June 14, 2013 release date.

However the studio is already looking round for script writers for a sequel if latest reports are to be believed.

Among the front runners for the job are Steve Kloves (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the planned Akira remake), Travis Beacham (the upcoming Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans), and Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark).

(Note that no one has been signed on yet though.)

How’s that for optimism?

So, the movie gets a sequel, before world-wide audiences have recieved it?
Damn you, HOLLYWOOD, you really dont care what we think of your films, as long as they are confident that their formulas will equate to success…

Talented film-makers (Jonathan Nolan et Zack Snyder) = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I will watch Man of Steel and enjoy it, because I am also confident in the abilities of proven talent, but
FRACK You, Hollywood CORPORATE elite!!! You sneaky money-grubbing, greedy as FRACK, mother-FRACKers!;D

they dont have a choice in this matter about the sequel, the justice league movie’s superman is based off of what ever is happening in this version of superman, so since that project is their big apple they hope we all take a bite of they have to figure that this movie is going to go the distance, they really are throwing all their hens in one basket.

I thought the same thing happened before Superman 5 came out, but when the tickets didn’t sell, neither did the sequels.

Well, I’m not the only one who finds the trailer for this underwhelming. I’ll never like superheroes who fly like missiles doing ballet. Well, I might like the superhero, but the flying like missiles doing ballet bothers me.

Superman produces chemtrails?! What. Are. They. Thinking?!!!

    Stop. Don’t keep going. Sheesh!

They are learning how to build a brain trust and to leave them allan. Well, at least some what better than the first few Batman and the previous two Superman incarnations… Pacing, thoughtfulness, calm and intensity are present in the trailer. Whether there will be depth of character and story is yet to be seen. But the possibility remains. Patience, young Jedi. Patience. There is potential in this one.
