Three new banners for upcoming flick . . .

Marketing for the upcoming John Carter flick is finally picking up with new posters and a full-length trailer being released recently.

I’m sure there are some very nervous Disney accountants out there who can’t believe that they are bringing out yet another expensive science fiction movie set on Mars next year (Disney’s Mars Needs Moms was one of this year’s biggest box office flops).

The second trailer dispelled a bit of the Prince of Persia vibe, but the truth is that not many people outside of SF fans actually know the John Carter character and Disney’s marketing will have their work cut out for them, especially if the rumors of a $250 million budget are to be believed.

I am very surprised that DISNEY corp is promoting the CONFEDERACY…O_o
John Carter, who fought for the side promoting SLAVERY of Africans, a southern American racist Confederate Captain is the champion fighting for the Native Martians against an oppressive army…irony?

When I was a young boy in the early 1980′s, I used to watch this animated series called He-Man & the Masters of the Universe…

I had a plastic molded Adam figurine, with a prehistoric green Tiger, and Saddle…

The 2nd poster has the same imagery as my memories.

John Carter of Mars probably inspired the He-Man series.
