Latest rumors have it that Transformers 4 and 5 will be shot back to back and that the producers want Jason Statham to star in them! (Yeah, we know . . .)

Considering that Transformers: Dark of the Moon made an incredible $1.19 billion at the worldwide box office it is however certain that a sequel or sequels will get made. Filming two sequels back to back also makes sense from a toy tie-in point of view.

Apparently writer Ehren Kruger who penned the last two movies has an idea for the next two Transformers installments on which the studio is quite keen.

Director Michael Bay stated that he won’t be returning for any future Transformers movies but according to the latest rumors he just might. One thing is certain though: actor Shia LaBeouf won’t return as everyman hero Sam Witwicky, and don’t even mention Megan Fox!
