Hunger Games actress added to upcoming Will Smith / M. Night Shyamalan project . . .

TV actress Isabelle Fuhrman who will soon be seen as Clove in the Hunger Games movie adaptation has joined After Earth, the upcoming sci-fi project to be directed by Sixth Sense director M. Night Shyamalan.

The project used to be named 1000 AE until someone probably pointed out that it sounds similar to the animated 2000 box-office flop Titan AE. Now it is simply called After Earth.

The movie is set in a distant future long after the destruction of Earth like in, er, Titan AE and is about a father and son team (Smith and his real-life son Jaden) who crash-lands on a supposedly uninhabitable alien planet and has to survive. Needless to say the son figure has daddy issues in that he isn’t as great a “warrior” as his dad, but gets to prove himself by rescuing his dad.

The movie is set for a 2013 release date and also stars Zoë Kravitz and Sophie Okonedo.
