Hollywood is always so desperate to copy the last success even though they have no idea why it was successful. Reminds me of when Spider-Man became a blockbuster and they decided to make all these terrible superhero movies, and some Hollywood guy on TV was saying "If these films even come close to making what Spider-Man did..." I just had to laugh. I didn't even buy comics growing up, but anyone with a childhood should realize Spider-Man's popularity is around 100 times that of the Daredevil or Ghost Rider or anybody else who isn't Batman or Superman. Not saying Hunger Games won't make money, but not a true hit (and this doesn't really seem like it has much overseas potential either given the subject matter.)
