What we always suspected: corporate capitalism is run by aliens!

Here’s a movie for our troubled times: a flick in which the aliens have already conquered the world via global capitalism. Okay, so John Carpenter already did this is in 1988’s They Live, but Marxist sci-fi movies are in short supply so we’re just thrilled that someone is making an anti-Capitalist flick and we hope that it makes lots of money for its studio. Um . . .

Branded is written and directed by Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain. It stars Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor, Ingeborga Dapkunaite and Max von Sydow.
