Asteroids Flick Gets New Writer

Movie based on the popular late-’Seventies videogame . . .

Evan Spiliotopoulos, who wrote the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman (which stars that expressionless chick from Twilight), has been appointed as writer for Universal Pictures’ Asteroids.

Matt Lopez (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) previously worked on the script.

The plot will apparently involve two estranged brothers fighting an alien invasion of Earth.

Roland Emmerich (who else?) is currently attached as director and a 2014 release date is likely.
